How does the EMSCULPT technology work?

The technology behind the treatment seamlessly merges the cosmetic utilities of high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) and radiofrequency (RF) energies.

EMSCULPT procedures involve employing ergonomic applicators to administer synchronised HIFEM and RF energies to the areas of the body being treated.

The exposure of RF in the treatment area is two-fold.

Is the procedure painful, and are there any side effects?

During the treatment, one may feel mild heat in the area being treated – that is all.

As for side effects: the treated area may be sweaty and red at the conclusion of a session.

Whilst the sweat will subside immediately afterwards, the redness may last up to 24 hours maximum.

Also, the treated muscles will feel a tiny bit sore for a day or two – not unlike after a workout at the gym or physical training at the park.

Due to its fat reduction aspect, the EMSCULPT procedure results in the body detoxifying via lymphatic drainage.

This can trigger fatigue and excess thirst for up to 24 hours.

Additionally, the detox feature of the treatment may also lead to feeling slightly bloated for a short period, not dissimilar to other cleansing treatments.
